The autoupdater is in a loop! Whats wrong?

Thats probably a permission problem or a duplicate installation. Please check the following two directories

  • ~/Library/PreferencePanes/ (~ = /Users/YourMacUserAccount)
  • /Library/PreferencePanes/

You should have only one fruux file named exactly(!) fruux.prefPane in the first folder. Delete all other fruux files in those two folders. After checking for duplicates, please disable "Always keep synchronized" in fruux temporarily. Then please fix permissions:

  • open "Disk Utility.app"
  • select your "Macintosh HD"
  • click "Fix Permissions"
  • wait until done (about 10-20 minutes)
  • when done, shutdown your Mac (not just standby) and restart

After the restart, you may enable "Always keep synchronized" in fruux again.
